Brunch at Boca
On Sunday I finally got to meet Andrew Brusso of whom I had created the Weeki Wachee mermaid t shirt design for some months ago. It was great to meet him and always a pleasure brunching with Scott and Debra. Andrew brought me a print of my t shirt design, was amazing to see it realised! #Boca #Sarasota #WeekiWachee

Diners Drive ins and Dives
On Saturday I managed to drag a somewhat birthday-hungover Cat to a drive in diner that I had spotted on a crossroads near home. Its remained practically unchanged since it's opening in 1957! The food was amazing!! I'd say we should go back except there's so many places I wanna eat here that we need to get through! Haha...

Cats birthday surprises
Friday was my roommate Cats birthday! Some neighbours and friends along with myself got together and surprised her on thursday night with a trip to Fuzzys, her favourite taco shop. She was then surprised with a trip to Busch Gardens with her boyfriend on her actual birthday. That night we went to Selva, a Peruvian restaurant... the food was again, insanely good. I made Cat a card... There's definitely a theme. Happy birthday Cat!

More Florida sunsets
Everyday Florida weather continues to amaze and baffle me. #exploring #sunsets #sarasota

Roommate dates and dogs in tights
Also last week, I surprised my roommate Catarina with a girls date to an amazing restaurant called Boca in downtown Sarasota, recommended to me by my boss Debra. The food was amazing. I'm still thinking about the parmesan and truffle fries and my yummy strawberry cocktail topped with egg white. Great food and great company! After dinner we headed over the road and watched a band play outside in a pavement restaurant. Of course we had key lime pie, it would be rude not to. Sat

All work... and all play
Playing catch up with the blog again! I feel like although I've only been here a short amount of time, this place really feels like home. Everyone I have met have been so friendly, inviting and generous - it's been lovely to be welcomed into the Bella Grove family so warmly. Since my last post you'll be pleased to know my bug bites actually cleared up! Last week I hung out with Sohmer and her nieces and nephews, who are visiting from northern Florida for two weeks. We've been

Second week round up
I can't believe it's been another week! Time goes by so quickly. Last week was my first real exploring around Sarasota and surrounding areas. I have totally fallen in love with this place. Last Monday I took a walk around The Ringling, which is the stately home and gardens of prominent Sarasota figure, art collector and circus owner John Ringling. the venetian style buildings and rose gardens are stunning. Last tuesday was July 4th, and so we had an all day barbecue/ cookout

"Pre-cut bagels?!"
This week feels like the longest week in the world (in a great way)! My flight from MCR to MCO on Wednesday turned out to be delayed by 2 and a half hours and so when I finally found my way to my hotel in Orlando, after picking up my car rental and navigating my way across town, I was completely tired out and so just hit the hay. I left my first Wal-Mart trip til the next day, before the two and a half hour drive down to Sarasota. My first night in Sarasota I actually slept o
